Tyson Higginbotham has enjoyed an extremely successful journey in becoming a successful business / marketing executive.

His career evolution is based on being outgoing, competitive, but very personal and always willing to hop- in, and roll-up-his-sleeves to get things done. Tyson’s drive and competitive spirit can be traced back to youth athletics that propelled him to a successful career in college sports at Tiffin University.

After college Tyson began work in the competitive and commoditized business of uniform and textile sales with both Cintas, and then Unifirst where his drive, enthusiasm, and success propelled him through the rolls of sales support, territory sales, and regional sales management in just 4 short years.

His career then progressed with a jump into marketing and media sales as he took a roll as publisher of one of PRIMEDIA’s housing titles in Columbus, Ohio.  Tyson quickly turning the long underperforming publication into a profitable business unit while launching a new website that drove additional revenue through online media advertisement in just 2 years. He then was tapped to develop and deploy the sales and publisher training program for the entire housing titles division of PRIMEDIA.  Seeing the sales training program through to success Tyson had aspirations to build a publishing company of his own and launched Higginbotham Publishing Llc., in 2001 from scratch in a spare bedroom of his home.

Tyson’s drive and business acumen grew from one title and one website to over 4 separate titles and 5 websites in just 3 years with publications and sites catering to 3 separate housing markets, and motorcycle enthusiast throughout the state of Ohio.  He also launched a creative design department and digital printing business units to feed internal creative and printing demands as well as generate additional revenue streams.  Tyson then continued on to launch a health and lifestyle publishing company that published 3 geographically based health and wellness publications and websites.

His strong desire to make a difference and educate people within his community lead helped increase the exposure and community involvement for several non-profit organizations:  Make a Wish Foundation, March of Dimes, Easter Seals and many other non-profit organizations of Ohio.  Tyson community involvement and philanthropy continues to this day to work with these organizations to assist in their work and community awareness.

The decline in the economy lead to another learning experience that allowed Tyson to exercise his business skill with a shrinking P&L statement and managed to stave off the ultimate demise for over a year while retaining all company employees until the receivables ultimately proved too far out to accurately account for cash flow and future collection proforma.

As a student of business and marketing, Tyson became heavily involved in the new emerging media that was quickly trending in the new economy.  With the experience of launching many websites and building complimentary email driven marketing campaigns to subscribers, Tyson began to assist other business entities navigate the new waters of an ever growing marketing mix.

With knowledge rooted in niche target marketing and content driven publishing, Tyson’s skill sets have been developed throughout his career and have become finely honed to a cutting edge business and marketing strategist with direct experience in complete immersive cross-channel marketing solutions.

Tyson was quickly picked up by a commercial print organization and tasked with rebranding and repositioning the 40 year old company in the marketplace with a fresh new look and new business objectives of offering more solutions both print and digital to its’ clients and prospects.

Ultimately making great headway in the market position Tyson was also tapped to run the sales department and launched a training program to build a multi-talented direct outside sales force.  The growth and turn in the marketplace was noticed by a competitive commercial printing organization that wanted to begin offering a more complete print/marcom set of solutions a purchase was made and Central Ohio Graphics Inc., or COG Inc., was now owned by WestCamp Press.  Leading the team to develop a new business unit called Creative Operations Group Inc., or COG Inc., to continue the momentum that was initiated by the re-brand Tyson now structured a complete Boutique Digital Agency that offers complete strategic marketing and communications consulting solutions along with a complete creative design concepting division, as well as an enterprise software reseller program.
